2nd Annual Bjorn This Way Charity Fundraiser (5 pm PT/6 pm MT/7 pm CT/8 pm ET)

Commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Bjorn This Way 501(c)(3) charity and help continue our movement toward better access to speech-language pathology care for millions of Americans who may have communication and swallowing problems. Join us online for our annual fundraiser to hear America's Got Talent Saxophonist Avery Dixon, The Atlantic Author John Hendrickson, and many other performances and impact stories in support of funding services for people in need, to empower them to communicate, socialize, work, and participate in life as fully as possible. This year, we’re excited to welcome our headlining guests, Avery Dixon & John Hendrickson: Avery Dixon is a saxophone extraordinaire, America’s Got Talent Finalist, America’s Got Talent All-Star finalist, and an advocate against bullying. He was born prematurely, leading to medical conditions including a Posterior Keyhole Aperture (hole in his vocal cord), which affects his vocal cords and makes his voice raspy. Despite his medical complications, he beats all odds by playing the saxophone! Avery is the founder of "GraceNotes & Totes (https://www.averydixongracenotes.com/)," a charity that provides NICU families of preemie babies with essential supplies such as preemie diapers, wipes, clothes, and blankets to Emory Decatur Hospital. John Hendrickson is a staff writer at The Atlantic and the author of “Life on Delay: Making Peace With a Stutter,” a reported memoir that grew out of his Atlantic feature “What Joe Biden Can’t Bring Himself to Say,” which was read by more than 2 million people and named one of the best stories of 2019 by Longform. John has spoken about politics, journalism, disability, and other topics on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, and at colleges and universities across the country. What to expect? A 1-hour online event, with musical performances and impact testimonials by people whose lives are affected by communication and swallowing problems. You do not need to do a thing - other than listen and be inspired. Learn the impact that our charity Bjorn This Way is already making in transforming lives. Understand the benefit of speech-language pathology services to quality of life. Hear from the Board of Directors about the mission and vision of Bjorn This Way, Inc. Meet the first annual recipients of the Bjorn This Way Impact Award. We are proud to recognize and honor our first Impact Award recipients who have contributed significantly to clinical care - and through their efforts - are making a substantial impact on the lives of those with speech-language pathology needs. Bjorn This Way Inc is a 501(c)(3) public, tax-exempt charity that funds speech-language pathology services so that people can do many of the things we take for granted, like speaking, laughing, swallowing, working, socializing, and living. Our financial assistance allows us to reduce the cost of the speech-language pathology care faced by individuals with voice, speech, and swallowing differences and disorders. Financial assistance is provided to individuals who meet financial and other criteria on a first-come, first-served basis. Donations to our 501(c)(3) charity during the online fundraising event are tax-deductible. Laugh. Eat. Talk. Sing L.E.T.S. Bjorn This Way
