58th Water Talk on Rejuvenating Water Bodies: Harnessing Technology to Improve Water Quality

Join us for the 58th Water Talk session organized by the National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR on 29th January 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM IST. Priyanshu Kumath, Founder and CEO of ‘Clean Water’, a clean-tech organization focusing on rejuvenating water bodies through innovation. He works in rejuvenating water bodies with a particular focus on water quality improvement. These interventions emphasize ecological restoration through Floating Wetlands, Floating Aerators, and Beneficial Microbial Cultures. He has rejuvenated more than 20 water bodies across the country. Major projects undertaken by him are rejuvenation and restoration of Annapurna Lake, Pipliyahana Lake, Nalanda Sarovar in Indore, and Hauz-i-Shamsi in Delhi. This session will focus on harnessing technology in rejuvenating water bodies. Also, how ensuring improved water quality will lead to a sustainable future will be another aspect of the discussion. Eradication of waterborne diseases, prevention of groundwater contamination, and increase in water holding capacity will lead to the transformation of the water bodies into assets with possibilities of revenue generation. This session will also highlight the special involvement and participation of women and community members in spearheading water resource management.
