The “Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari” initiative is a reflection of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s unwavering resolve to make water conservation a national priority. The initiative emphasizes the importance of Jan Bhagidari in water conservation & embodies a pledge for united action from all stakeholders with the aim to have a special focus on the construction of artificial recharge structures/borewell recharge shafts, among other activities, which will increase storage capacity & help to augment groundwater recharge. As water scarcity and management become prominent issues, this webinar will showcase the initiatives led by district administrators to mobilize local communities in constructing artificial recharge structures and revitalizing local water bodies.
