CORE Interpreters is a nationwide mentorship program with the goal of making the interpreting field a better place for all through mentoring. Each interpreter has a unique background, experience, and skillset to offer, CORE values each of these qualities in every interpreter. Come explore options for stepping into the gap between graduation to certification and how we as a field can work to support one another and the next generation. Objective #1: Participants will be able to analyze different approaches to mentoring in the interpreting field through a community of practice discussion. Objective #2: Participants will be able to recommend a potential programmatic structure for mentoring in a scalable format. Objective #3: Participants will realize and reflect on how their background or history with mentoring in the interpreting field has impacted their professional growth.
