Radical Roots: How Communities Are Leading the Green Transition

How can creative, accessible, and community-driven solutions redefine sustainability from the ground up? The climate crisis is here, and the call for a green transition has never been more urgent. But real transformation doesn’t always come from the top—it starts in communities, where people reclaim their knowledge, resources, and power to build sustainable futures. This webinar will include members from Trans Europe Halles, a network of 162 independent, alternative and community driven venues, founded in 1983. In this webinar, cultural changemakers from France and Mexico will share how performing arts, design, and grassroots action are driving climate justice. Through inspiring case studies and an interactive discussion, we’ll explore how local, traditional, and Indigenous knowledge can reshape urban landscapes, regenerate ecosystems, and challenge the status quo. Participants: Eleftérios Kechagioglou (France): Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde (PPCM) is a non-profit organisation that develops and promotes circus and emergent cultures. It is committed to social change and community driven practices. Fran Erazo (Mexico): Culturans is a Mexico-based NGO that uses art, design and culture to help create community-based, sustainable urban futures. Host: Laura Camacho Salgado. Independent curator, music industry consultant and researcher interested in the crossways of arts and politics. Join us to discover how "good enough transformation" is already happening worldwide—through creative, accessible, and community-driven solutions that are redefining sustainability from the ground up. Be part of the conversation. Be part of the change. This webinar is part of the series "Fremtidens Kulturlokaler" (the future culture arenas) supported by Kulturrom. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up?
