During his time as an indirect tax expert, Eric helped hundreds of businesses navigate the complexities of their multi-state sales and use tax obligations through his expertise in audit defense and liability mitigation strategy. He has helped clients across several industries including retail, luxury goods, manufacturing, real estate, construction and medical as well as numerous digital space industries ranging from major video game companies and entertainment providers to billion-dollar digital advertising and software enterprises. During his time at PMBA, Eric led the production of an exemption certificate management platform for the firm’s clients. Eric’s other work includes due diligence for tax recovery, tax technology implementation, tax guidance memos and petitions for state advisory opinions. Maria Tringali: Maria has been with Avalara since 2014. She provides training, education, and support for Avalara’s sales reps, technology and reselling partners, and prospective customers on the importance of getting compliance right, even if very little retail sales tax is charged. She also provides the same support for business license management, helping businesses with physical locations and onsite projects understand what resources they should leverage to improve their business license application and management process.
