Join Philly Boricuas in conversation with historians, Dr. Victor Vázquez Hernández and Dr. Ariel Arnau, who have done extensive research investigating the rich history of Puerto Ricans in Philadelphia. They'll discuss the different waves of migration from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia, the contributions of Boricuas in Philly, and the characteristics of the Boricua diaspora in comparison to other immigrant communities. We'll also discuss the relationship between colonialism on the archipelago and how that has impacted the migration of Puerto Ricans to the United States.
