For the first episode in our series on “Know the CyberCrimeBusters”, we will be introduced to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), an attached agency of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), created through Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. Data Protection Officers (DPOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), CXOs, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professionals and practitioners also need to work closely with the CICC to ensure that they protect their internal and external data subjects.
