SANS wanted to combine their “webcasts” with dialogue, so they thought streaming would be the perfect avenue for them. Though they could stream with platforms like Zoom, StreamYard allowed them to multistream to all their social media destinations for maximum reach. Stephen Hart, SANS’s Director of Content Marketing, loves that all of the platforms’ comments aggregate in the studio, and often, it leads to interesting conversations and an engaged audience. Since SANS started livestreaming with StreamYard, their channels have grown. One of their subchannels on YouTube grew from 200 subscribers to 11,000 in two years. The attention that these webcasts get has also helped the company build “rockstars” out of the authors and instructors. Livestreaming has helped both SANS and their instructors grow exponentially. Hart has even had personal success because of implementing live streaming with StreamYard: he was asked to create his own role at the company, and he credits StreamYard with getting him there.
Hart appreciates how accessible the founders of StreamYard are through their weekly Town Hall show. “I have yet to find another company where the founders show up on a Sunday night and answer questions. And StreamYard is one of those companies where these guys still show up, they still engage in the chat, they still answer questions.”
As a StreamYard Business customer, Hart receives top-notch support from his Customer Success Manager. “I have an amazing support team on the business side. I have someone who hops on our call once, someone's with me and we just talk about what we're doing, how they can support us. New features coming down to pike all around. I have tremendous support from StreamYard and I don't have that in all the different vendor partners that we leverage. It is unique and StreamYard goes above and beyond on that side.”
