During the pandemic, Corewell Health found StreamYard Business and it became an essential tool to connect local health experts to the surrounding community. During their “Community Conversations”, a video series they made using StreamYard, Corewell Health used the ability to multistream live and prerecorded video to various social media platforms to answer questions locals had about the pandemic, the vaccine, and how to keep their families safe. Yoder insisted StreamYard made it possible for them to communicate “face to face” with the community in a time of uncertainty and when it was nearly impossible to see each other in person. Yoder and his team used StreamYard Business to create content from various locations: hospitals, offices, just about anywhere. The functionality of the Teams feature was vital for Yoder and his team.
The Teams feature has also made producing this content easier for Yoder and his team. “I can have co-producers involved in the broadcast. They just rolled out the virtual green room where you can test people’s microphone and video and lighting and if they’re going to share something in the broadcast, like a PowerPoint slide or video or their screen, you can check all that in the virtual green room before you bring them backstage, which is really helpful.”
